Built-in, sliding and walk-in wardrobes designed around your room, your clothes and your door swing, built and fitted by carpenters in Abu Dhabi.
Freestanding wardrobes leave gaps above, beside and behind them, and those gaps collect dust and waste room. A fitted wardrobe uses the whole wall. ALHUD Technical LLC designs and builds custom made wardrobes for villas, apartments and staff rooms across Abu Dhabi, from a simple sliding unit in a small bedroom to a full walk-in closet in a master suite.
In many Abu Dhabi apartments, bedrooms are compact and the wardrobe takes up a big share of the floor. A well-planned design gives you more hanging and shelf space in the same footprint, and it looks like part of the room instead of an added piece of furniture.
Door style matters as much as the interior. Our custom made doors team builds matching leaves when you want the wardrobe doors to follow the same look as the bedroom door.
Most wardrobe problems come from the inside layout, not the outside. A rail that is too low cuts dresses short, and shelves that are too deep hide everything at the back. We start by asking what you hang, fold and store, then size each section for it.
Abayas and kanduras need extra height, and ghutras and scarves benefit from shallow drawers. Telling us what you own means we design for your wardrobe, not a generic one.
Humidity in Abu Dhabi varies a lot between the coast and inland, and between air-conditioned rooms and corridors. Wardrobe carcasses are usually made from moisture-resistant boards, and doors can be veneered, painted, lacquered, mirrored or glass-fronted. Mirrored sliding doors save a separate mirror and make a small room feel larger, though they show fingerprints.
Hinges and runners carry the most wear, so we specify soft-close hardware and quality runners where the budget allows. A cheap sliding track is the first thing to fail, and replacing it later is more disruptive than choosing well at the start.
A walk-in closet needs enough room to move. As a rough guide, leave a comfortable walkway between opposite units, and plan the lighting early. Good lighting, ideally with a sensor that turns on when the door opens, makes a closet much easier to use. Our lighting installation team can help with the ceiling and shelf lights.
Ventilation matters too. Closed, humid spaces can smell musty, so we leave air paths and recommend a small air vent or a connection to the room AC where possible.
Because the units are made in sections off site, installation is typically quicker and cleaner than building in place. Plan for the room to be empty on fitting day.
Wardrobes rarely sit in perfect rectangles. Walls lean, ceilings dip and bulkheads or AC ducts cut across the top. We scribe the units to the wall and ceiling so gaps are closed, and we plan around vents, sockets, switches and beams. If a duct or bulkhead is in the way, we can build around it or finish the top neatly with a filler panel.
Do not block the AC supply or return. Air needs a clear path, and a closed-in vent can cause poor cooling and moisture. If you are not sure where your ducts run, our AC repair team can advise before we finalise the design.
Many wardrobe projects are part of a wider upgrade. When floors, doors and walls change as well, it is easier to coordinate the work so the wardrobe is built to the finished floor level. See our villa renovation page for how whole-home projects run.
Units that are already made can be fitted through our cabinet installation service.
We confirm the price after the site visit. Send photos of the wall and approximate dimensions on WhatsApp and we can suggest a layout before we visit.
Do not overload the rails, and keep shoes and damp items out of closed units. Wipe fronts with a soft cloth, avoid soaking edges, and tighten handles occasionally. If a door drops or a runner starts to stick, call early, since small adjustments are quick. Our guide on hiring a carpenter in Abu Dhabi explains what to expect from a professional.

A built-in wardrobe is made to fit the wall and usually reaches the ceiling, so it uses all the space. A freestanding unit is bought ready-made and leaves gaps around it.
Often yes. Sliding doors do not need swing space, so they suit narrow bedrooms. Hinged doors give easier access to the whole interior, so we compare both for your room.
Yes. We build extra-height hanging sections and plan the layout around the items you store, including shallow drawers for scarves and accessories.
It depends on the size and finish. After the site visit and design are agreed, we give you a timeline for the workshop build and the installation.
Yes. We plan the layout around vents, sockets and switches, and we avoid blocking the AC supply or return.
Where a spare room or alcove exists, yes. We can also convert part of a bedroom into a dressing area, subject to the space and building rules.
